Some Thoughts on the Road

Yesterday morning as I rode to the county jail to do volunteer work, I had some wonderful memories in my thoughts.  Not only being Easter, it happened to be our 40th anniversary.

 Some thoughts on the road:
  • I'm thankful that Amber agreed to marry me.
  • I can't believe she's put up with me all these years.
  • I'm thankful God has blessed us with our family.
  • Forty years ago I didn't know that my love for Amber would be greater today than it was then.
  • I wouldn't change a thing.
These years have gone by way too fast.  Treasure each day.

God's speed.

  1. My helmet is off to y'all, 40 yrs and going. Congrats.

Kudos also for the volunteer work. I have served with Kairos prison ministry over the years. Good stuff.

  2. Congratulations! Reflections like these help greatly with perspective. Having a Great Counselor that gives us navigational beacons helps a lot, too. I guess the key is to give God efforts to bless.

  3. Warmest congratulations Mike, that's just wonderful - celebrating with a trip to NZ perhaps?

It's our 40th next year and I too wonder how Jennie puts up with me!

Very best wishes to you both....

  4. Wonderful thoughts Mike! My you both have many more great years together!

  5. Congratulations Mike, it's wonderful that you guys haven't changed in 40 years together, a lot of couple do as the statistics show :-)
It's good to reflect on the good times together.

  6. Congratulations to you both! That is wonderful!

  7. Congratulations to both of you! 40 years! We are still working towards 20... but we started late ;-)
Wishing you all the best for the next 40...

  8. Congratulations to you Mike. I wish both of you the best in life.

It might have being a fun filled ride with such wonderful thoughts. Right Mike?

All the best in your riding experience as well. V Twin Motorcycle
